Catalog description

This course provides an enriched learning environment for RIT Honors Students with a project-based, lab-oriented approach to learning statistics. Students will learn to formulate research problems in statistical terms, design a statistical model to study these problem, collect data, summarize data, draw inferences in the context of the applications, and present their analyses. Students learn the use of the statistical software package Minitab to aid in the analysis of data. Students will be expected to participate in class discussions. This course may not be taken for credit if credit is to be earned in COS- STAT-205 .
