Catalog description

This course is designed to introduce the design and practices of DVD development with emphasis on creating cut variations (e.g., director's cut, screen cut) of an existing film project. The student develops a specific DVD that is based on a film they have completed. Class discussion and presentation are oriented towards new directions for the film story with interactivity and sequencing considerations. The student will acquire development tools to include: menu development, subtitles, audio streams, encoding principles, hybrid DVD creation, web linking, and basic scripting.
