Welding and Fabrication

Catalog description
This course will introduce develop skills in metal fabrication. Course content will cover several different types of equipment utilized in the welding and cutting processes. Students will learn to effectively use equipment to fabricate mild steel. At the completion of this course students will complete a body of work consisting of finished fabricated steel sculptures in addition to understanding the rationale for working in an additive fashion. The course will be taught off-campus at Rochester Arc and Flame Center, 115 Fedex Way, Rochester, NY. **Fee: There is a materials fee required for this course and an additional course fee applied via student account.
