Integrated design, problem solving, process development and assembly techniques are essential for robotics and manufacturing engineering technology. RMET 580 Production Systems Design and RMET 590 Production systems development together form the robotics and manufacturing engineering technology senior project. In RMET 580, students design a fully functioning automated workcell. Students also practice project management, project planning, and effective communication. Process improvement permeates the integrated activities. Design, final documentation and demonstration of a fully functional workcell are required. This is the Writing Intensive course for RMET students.
