Catalog description

This course is a study of color photography, exploring the hybrid technology between traditional film-based color photography and digital imaging. Students will learn how to properly expose color film and how to make analog contact sheets and photographic prints from their film. Current scanning practices, proper color management and procedures for digital image editing will be outlined. Additionally, students will learn how to make digital negatives. Various methods of output and substrates will be discussed and explored. Students will conceive and design their own photographic project, producing a portfolio of prints.
