Photography Business Fundamentals will provide advertising photography students with a foundational understanding of business practices and freelancing principles. Through discussions and lectures, including insights from expert guest speakers, topics such as entry-level jobs, licensing/copyright, marketing, pricing, insurance, taxes, and team building will be covered, offering the core skills needed to run a small business. Students will develop a business plan by researching their post-graduation geographic market. They will set career and financial goals, creating a practical plan aligned with their projected needs. The course will also cover DBA, LLCs, taxes, networking, and the steps to becoming a freelancer and business owner.
