Summer Transition Program

Catalog description

The Summer Transition Program (STP) is a six-week summer college preparatory program for incoming first-year deaf and hard-of-hearing students preceding the Summer Vestibule Program (SVP). During the program, STP will combine off-the-shelf curriculum materials in mathematics, English and American Sign Language with innovative assessment and instructional methods, aiming to both identify and support students’ academic needs. The program will involve individualized assessment, ongoing progress monitoring, and future-directed instruction across several STEM disciplines.
