Academic Readiness and Success
Rochester Institute of Technology · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
This course is designed to assist students who were placed on probation and/or academically suspended in the NTID College Restoration Program to further foster development of stronger academic commitment and personal self-management skills. As they work toward improving their academic standing, students will undertake small group or individualized learning paths where they will practice academic and college readiness skills, including improving motivation, managing time, setting goals, and caring for themselves. Students are required to see the Student Hub (NTID Academic Support Center) coordinator and/or their academic advisors weekly to track their academic achievement progress. Successful application of study and test-taking techniques, understanding how to set priorities, coping with college stress and anxiety, and developing a mindset for academic success constitute overarching themes of this course.
