Catalog description

This advanced-level course covers literary works in the target language. Variable content depending on the language and the professor. Students will read selections of literature, analyze and discuss in class, do homework assignments, quizzes and final exam. Goals include becoming familiar with literature in the target language and beginning to learn literary analysis. By reading and discussing the literature, students will gain knowledge of the genres, periods, styles, authors and works presented as literary expression of the cultures of the countries covered. Class conducted in the target language.
