Catalog description
This course is designed to deliver an understanding of the microbial population of the oral cavity as it relates to health and disease. Throughout the course, the presence, absence, influence and consequences of various microbial species will be presented relative to the anatomy of the oral cavity and subsequent disease. The course will also illuminate the connection between the oral cavity, inflammation and surprising conditions chronic and acute conditions that seemingly are unrelated to the oral cavity.
