Catalog description

Consists of the numerical solution of heat transfer problems. One-and two-dimensional steady-state as well as transient conduction cases are analyzed. A detailed study of single-phase forced and natural convective heat transfer is presented. Heat transfer during pool boiling, flow boiling and condensation is studied. Design aspects of heat transfer equipment are introduced. The students undertake a major design project.
