Catalog description
This course provides a study of the theoretical foundations and numerical algorithms for nonlinear optimization problems with or without constraints. Numerical algorithms will be analyzed and implemented. Applications of nonlinear optimization in economics, data science, engineering, and other fields are considered. Students taking this course are expected to do programming exercises and complete applied projects and/or case studies.
