Catalog description

A survey of the history of western architecture, interiors, and furniture from the Industrial Revolution to current day. This course will overview the components of style, construction, and material as represented by architecture, interior environments, furnishings and materiality. At the completion of this course, students will understand design precedent, and the social, cultural, and political influences evolving the built environment.
