Sports Photography: Action to Sportraits

This course introduces the skills and techniques needed to produce effective sports images for various publications, including newspapers, magazines, wire services, books, and websites. You will learn how to capture sports action, feature shots, and portraits (“Sportraits”), as well as develop effective storytelling and event coverage skills. We will cover the equipment, technical requirements—including remote cameras—and strategies for covering athletic events from youth leagues to professional sports. The course provides the necessary skills to produce and deliver quality images on deadline.
