Concurrent and Distributed Artificial Intelligence

Catalog description

This course will cover concurrent, parallel and distributed programming paradigms and methodologies with a focus on implementing them for use in artificial intelligence applications. In particular, the course will focus on implementing artificial intelligence algorithms using multithreaded concurrent programming, distributed computing using the message passing interface (MPI), and graphical processing units (GPUs) using CUDA. The course will also teach scalability and load balancing techniques for developing highly performant artificial intelligence systems.
