Typeface Design

Catalog description

This course will explore calligraphic letterforms, typographic history, and practical production of typeface. Course content will cover concept development, nomenclature, and techniques involved in typeface design. Students will create detailed text typography demonstrating readability and legibility. At the completion of this course, students will be able to create and execute a complete typeface and full ASCII (American Standard Code for Information Interchange) character set.
