Catalog description

In this honors course students will explore the dynamic world of venture capital (VC), where investors and entrepreneurs collaborate to launch and scale innovative companies. Students will learn how VC firms develop industry expertise, evaluate emerging technologies, and identify high-potential investments. They will learn how entrepreneurs determine product-market fit, devise go-to-market strategies and position their companies for startup funding. Through hands-on projects, students will work directly with startups and learn from VC practitioners, analyzing business plans, assessing founding teams, and researching industries and competitors. This interdisciplinary course mirrors the real-world venture capital process, bringing together students from diverse fields to critically evaluate innovations and business models that have the potential to disrupt the future.
