Catalog description

This course is designed to give students an immersive and hands-on research experience related to exercise science and physical activity. Students will use knowledge from prerequisite coursework to hypothesize, design, and conduct a research investigation that focuses on some facet of exercise physiology and science. Areas of skill development include hypothesis generation, logistical and ethical considerations of research methods, institutional review board submission, data management, analysis and interpretation. This class will benefit those who desire an immersive hands-on exposure to conducting exercise science based research. Students in this course will be required to present at an undergraduate research venue, such as an undergraduate research symposium.
