Catalog description

The world is changing! How do we address the challenges we face and find solutions for a resilient future? This course focuses on anticipating and adapting to change and the ethical and global factors that are part of our decisions and actions. Students will explore ethical and global dimensions of risk and vulnerability, with a focus on creating resilience through managing risk, a key competency. We inspire curiosity, using case studies, simulations, and dialogue to examine how to identify, assess, and manage risks to critical environments and operations. Students pursue knowledge and integrate it with their own discoveries while evaluating choices that address ethical and global challenges, using risk management. Students create value by applying critical thinking and exploring multiple perspectives to create, test, and critique an organizational resilience strategy in a real-world context.
