Basic Writing and Reading

Catalog description

In this course, students will acquire the reading and vocabulary skills necessary to comprehend a beginning level text. A focus on word study and specific reading strategies will be taught. Through interaction with other students and the text, students will receive opportunities to communicate orally and in writing regarding their readings in class. Homework and assessments will reinforce second language literacy skills.
