Catalog description

This interdisciplinary course is designed for College of Art and Design and Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences students to work in collaboration creating a semester long interactive music project. Students will work with musicians in the Rochester area in teams consisting of programmers, designers, CG artists, photographers, and filmmakers to examine how digital technology is changing the way we experience and consume music. Students will also be introduced to the resources and tools necessary to produce an interactive music experience while working with professional musicians. The students will build upon the foundations of computer graphics and be exposed to the latest technologies involving computer graphics, animation, sound, video, interactive techniques, and virtual / augmented worlds. Students with experience equivalent to the prerequisites are encouraged to contact the instructor.
