BIOL 375
Advanced Immunology
Rochester Institute of Technology · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
This course is an in-depth treatment of the molecular and cellular events associated with innate and adaptive immune responses. The response of the host to the environment of microbes and pathogens will be emphasized. Recognition and response of the host to the infectious agents and the resolution of the disease state will be examined at the cellular and molecular levels. The laboratories will focus on the cellular and molecular techniques employed in the modern immunology laboratory, including culturing cells, isolating RNA, performing reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR), and completing enzyme linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs).
