Catalog description
This course covers relationships between biological processes (on the level of genes, hormones, and neural processes) as well as structural and physiological changes that contribute to psychopathology as it is represented in the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (2000, 5th ed.). Content will focus on biological bases of behavior frequently observed among forensic populations, including learning disabilities, sociopathy, substance use, and psychotic disorders.
