Introduces the field of Forensic Science and its role in the criminal justice system. The course will provide a comprehensive overview of the historical milestones that have shaped the field, laying the groundwork for modern forensic methodologies. Emphasis will be placed on the crime scene investigator's role in the groundwork of identification, collection, and examination of evidence, as well as the legal implications in preserving, recording, and collecting physical evidence at the crime scene for criminal matters.
