Issue Advocacy: Interest Groups and Lobbying

The course will introduce students to the area of interest groups, grassroots organizing, and lobbying. Topics to be covered include theoretical developments, methodological approaches of group formation, organizational maintenance, and strategies used to influence public policy in the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government.
