Advanced Directing for Film and Television

Catalog description

This upper-level directing course provides students with a deeper understanding of the craft of directing for narrative film and television. Students will hone their skills in script analysis and explore techniques for working with actors, collaborating with crew, and developing visual storytelling approaches. Through in-class exercises, readings, and production assignments, students will develop a personal directing voice and refine directing skills across different genres. Pre-requisite: FTV 380 with a grade of C or better.
