Catalog description

This course is designed to teach students how to develop, structure, and write a TV/Streaming pilot. Students will practice standard 3 Act or 4 Act structure and will learn how to apply effective visual storytelling techniques and character development to their own work. Over the course of the semester, students will develop a 30 or 60-minute show script and its elements including a logline, synopsis, treatment and sample scenes. At the end of this course, students will have written and rewritten 30 minutes of a show, and will have all the material they need to finish a full-length script and/or future episodes. Note: this course is also open to all majors with permission of instructor.
