Catalog description

This course covers the theories and principles of editing and post production processes for film, television, and digital media. Through exercises and assignments, students will be introduced to editing as both a technical process and an artistic endeavor. Students will learn editing theory, the technique and workflow of picture and sound editing, basic post production terminology, editing rules and how to break them, editing aesthetics, color timing and color correction. Strong emphasis will be placed on the technical, analytical and practical techniques necessary to further creative expression. Pre-requisite: FTV 135 with a minimum grade of C.
