Students in Graduate Choral Conducting Seminar develop a better understanding of the relationship between gesture, breath, and listening in order to better rehearse and perform expressive, historically-informed, vocally healthy and colorful choral music. The Seminar emphasizes leadership qualities and communication skills, rehearsal techniques, and stylistic nuances between eras, genres, and composers to prepare conductors to be effective in professional, academic, community, and sacred music settings.
