Catalog description
Students explore modern topics in organic synthesis including stereoselective synthesis, photocatalysis, and organometallic cross-coupling and metathesis. The laboratory is an authentic research experience wherein students learn and exploit advanced methods in organic synthesis and characterization including Schlenk and glovebox techniques, computer-assisted retrosynthesis and property prediction, and two-dimensional NMR spectroscopy, while considering green chemistry principles throughout.
