Topics include deception, decision making for incompetent patients, consent, abortion, euthanasia, disability, resource allocation, organ donation, and experimentation with human and non-human animals. Readings by historical thinkers such as Jeremy Bentham, Immanuel Kant, and John Stuart Mill. Contemporary readings from bioethicists such as John Finnis, Judith Jarvis Thompson, Derek Parfit, Jonathan Glover, James Rachels, Peter Singer, and Ronald Dworkin. Primary focus ethical.
