A selection of novels from Portuguese and Spanish speaking countries in Africa. Critical and theoretical tools for engaging these literary texts, with a focus on the 20th and 21st centuries. Readings and discussions in English; students may opt to register for a C-LAC component in basic Portuguese language. Elective credit for LALIS major/minor granted only with completion of a corresponding C-LAC component.
