Catalog description

Introduction to Latinx literature and critical literary analysis. The course is organized according to thematic units that incorporate a variety of literary forms including short stories, plays, poems, comics, and novels. Topics discussed will cover the diversity and complex intersectional identities of Latinxs, examining how issues of race and ethnicity interact with other identity formations, such as gender, sexuality, citizenship, regional affiliation, and language use.
