Catalog description

Examines the work of individual or a small group of film directors. The directors considered will vary and include figures such as Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, and the Coen Brothers. Special attention will be paid to theories of film authorship, the concept of film style and film aesthetics, and various critical approaches. Offered biennially.
