Catalog description

Introduction for both beginners and more advanced students to explore a wide variety of drawing materials and techniques. The materials introduced will include graphite, charcoal, pastels, ink, conte, and silverpoint. Techniques covered will be hatching and cross-hatching, stippling, additive and subtractive drawing, working with washes, monoprinting and more. Students will work representationally for the majority of the semester. The objective is for students to explore a wide range of drawing possibilities as a means of expressing themselves visually. <br>
