Catalog description

This course explores the contemporary criminal justice issues that require expertise in specialized investigative methods. Computer -related criminal investigations, such as child pornography, fraud, and identification theft, are covered with a focus on ho w the Internet can be used as an investigative tool. Historical perspectives of criminal terrorism, as well as special investigative techniques associated with the investigation of terrorist activity are presented. Additional analyses and discussions cen ter on forensic advances as they relate to suspect identification and crime scene analysis.
