GEN 093
Development and Implementation of I ndividualized Education Programs
Relay Graduate School of Education · UGRD · Fall 2026
Catalog description
& Spring In this course, Relay students learn the process of developing an individualized plan for one PK–12 focus student who would benefit from intensive literacy intervention. They administer literacy assessments and collect anecdotal data to inform the student’s Present Levels of Academic and Functional Performance (PLAAFP). They then develop an individualized plan for the student, which will include annual goals, short-term goals, and weekly objectives supporting their literacy development. Relay students will then plan specialized instruction to target goals and a transition plan to support the focus student’s transition to different instructional contexts and beyond.
