Standard Grading Scale Terms Offered: All Terms In this course, Relay students will learn about the characteristics of literary types and examine literature across genres that are appropriate for adolescents and young adults. They will study various types or modes of writing and consider how they will develop their students’ writing skills through one of these forms. In the process, Relay students will build their understanding of the writing process and identify how these processes and skills can be applied to other types of writing. Relay students will evaluate the quality of student writing along dimensions such as focus, content, organization, and mechanics and determine steps they can take to improve students’ writing skills.
