Standard Grading Scale Terms Offered: All Terms In this course, Relay students will break apart language with the belief that by understanding linguistics, they will more precisely know how to support their PK–12 multilingual learners. Relay students deeply examine second language acquisition theories, specifically how to leverage native language in the acquisition of the second language. Relay students will examine formal and informal assessments to analyze the strengths and areas of growth for their multilingual learners. At the end of this course, Relay students will combine their understanding of linguistics and second language acquisition theory to craft intentional and targeted “language objectives.”
