Catalog description

This course introduces candidates to the methodological and theoretical questions involved in the practice of History. Candidates explore how source materials are located and analyzed, what kinds of arguments historians make, and how history is produced. This course supports the foundational critical thinking skills students will need to engage in their other coursework, apprenticeship and capstone. GE Categories: Systems and Social Policy, Regional and Global Awareness, Thinking and Quantitative Reasoning. Corequisites: SI 100, SI 106
