Catalog description

This course focuses on the standards and procedures governing safety, health, and nutrition practices in early childhood education. Students examine guidelines for establishing safe and healthy environments for children from birth to age 8. Students learn strategies for establishing appropriate nutrition, controlling illness, and addressing children’s special health needs. This course is aligned with the educational requirements for the CDA Credential issued by the Council for Professional Recognition.
