Catalog description

Students will work with the Java programming language to learn about Java bytecode programs and how they are executed within a Java virtual machine. Students will study class libraries and gain an understanding of how they perform important computing tasks, how they interact with computer hardware and operating systems, and how they handle deficiencies encountered on computing platforms. Concepts such as graphical user interfaces, multimedia development, and web programming will be explored as well as the use of Java programming in the development of applications for mobile devices. Software Application Development Associate’s Degree Prerequisite: COP1044C Introduction to Object-Oriented Programming Computer Science Bachelor’s Degree Prerequisite: None
