Police Effectiveness

Catalog description

Instructional Method: Three hours lecture. Prerequisites: CRJU 100 and junior or senior standing, or permission of instructor. Examine criminological theory, research, and factors that have led to recent police innovation in crime reduction and critically explore the effects of such policies on crime and disorder, on research practices, as well as potential unintended consequences on the community and the police organization.
