Instructional Method: Three hours lecture. Survey of the roles and duties of police in society historically and in modern times. The course covers the psychological, sociological and philosophical role of the police as it relates to such topics as criminal behavior, police use of force, police/community relationships, police legitimacy, and wellness. REAL Area A Cornerstone General Education (GE) Note(s): Cultural or Behavioral Analysis designated course.
