Communication and Leadership

Catalog description

Instructional Method: Three hours lecture/participation. Prerequisites: COMS 130 (with a grade of “C” or better) and COMS 330 (with a grade of “C” or better), or permission of instructor. An introduction to the study and practice of leadership from a communication perspective. Analysis of major theories and research in leadership with primary emphasis on application in real-world settings. Through discussions and participation in group activities, students explore leadership concepts and theories, analyze their personal leadership styles, and develop leadership communication skills.
