Media Production 2B: Writing

Catalog description

Instructional Method: Three hours lecture. Prerequisites: COMS 130 and COMS 146 (C- or better); or permission of the instructor. Emphasizes the writing and scripting processes necessary to prepare material for various types of media productions. Through engagement with a variety of media writing this course prepares students for the expectations of professional writing across the media production industry. Each course exercise will help students develop a greater command of grammar, spelling, syntax, style, format and tone that is appropriate for each form of media addressed in order to best connect with the intended audience.
