Catalog description
Instructional Method: Three hours lecture. Prerequisites: A grade of “C” or better in BIOL 132 and BIOL 231 ; or a grade of “C” or better in BIOL 111, BIOL 112 , and BIOL 230 . Provides an introduction to the science of immunology by focusing on the tissues, cells, and the mechanisms involved in the normal immune response. Emphasis is on the mechanisms of B and T cell sensitization and cellular specialization of immune cells. Active and passive immunities of the human system are considered in detail.
