Catalog description

Instructional Method: Two hours seminar. Prerequisites: A grade of “C” or better in BIOL 229 , BIOL 132 , BIOL 231 , and BIOL 232; or a grade of “C” or better in BIOL 111 , BIOL 112 , and BIOL 222 . Examines the historical, social, cultural, and philosophical bases of various bioethical controversies. Students will analyze the assumptions underlying positions, the arguments presented in defense of these positions and the possibility of resolving conflicts that arise over the issues involved.
