Catalog description

Instructional Method: Three hours lecture. Prerequisites: ATTR 614 and ATTR 624 . Corequisites: ESHE 650 and ATTR 630 . Students will receive instruction on the administrative concepts and organizational skills and abilities that are required of athletic trainers in a variety of healthcare settings. Students will be instructed on how to identify health care delivery strategies that account for health literacy. Students will be instructed on how to practice health care in a manner that is compliant with the Board of Certification Standards of Professional Practice and other governing bodies. Students will be instructed on administrative management duties and the use of comprehensive patient-file management systems. Students will be instructed on development and management of policies and procedures to guide operation of athletic training services. Note(s): This is a hybrid asynchronous course.
