Instructional Method: 1 hour of lecture; 3.5 hours of lab Prerequisites: ARTS 397 This course expands on ARTS 397 . Students continue to explore various aspects of art making with a focus on conceptual development. In addition to directed prompt-based projects, students will learn to define and clarify their conceptual and technical methods of working. Readings, class projects and presentations encourage visual research and embracing the role of artists as cultural producer. Further emphasis will be placed on the integration of theory and contemporary studio practices.
